PHANEROO~DEVOTION 29th November 2015 FAILING ORACLES Apostle Grace Lubega
[1 Corinthians 2:2]; For I determined not to know anything among you save Jesus Christ and him crucified.
This is what the Lord started to show me days ago. I was carried in the spirit and I saw the word “FAILING ORACLES.” I saw men who were walking but fainting. They were trying to speak things but those things didn’t become sound doctrine; they were just words.
However, even as they were labouring to do these things, they were becoming weaker and as they opened their lips to utter what they believed was the word of God, they realized that as the words came out, the oracles failed, their beauty was scarred and their glory was brought to dust because what they defined as revelation was actually no longer revelation in the ears of men.
It is one thing for a man to know his state and another for him not to know his state. It is remarkable when a man is still in the presence of God, seeking his face every day, preaching the gospel always and yet the brooks are so dry, with his countenance so compromised, but he stands in front of people daily ministering to them what he feels is deep and is life, yet it is nothing to the men who hear him. His conscience is too seared for him to discern the true place of revelation and examine himself whether he still be in the faith.
As such, I saw places where preachers were judged by the men which heard them. They were weighed by the valleys of Ashkelon, and I realized that many men were weighed and found wanting because every time they tried to delve into depths of ministering Christ, he wasn’t the Christ in whom they lived, and ministered through by reason of the dispensation of his ministry to them; it was the place of men which had received by reason of exercising their senses only.
There is a place where you can exercise your senses to know what is good and evil and that is where many men end, but there is a place where your senses are no longer central because even though it is important for a man to know what is good and what is evil, there is a depth where a man only knows one thing; Christ dead and resurrected.
