PHANEROO~DEVOTION 26th December 2015 VANTAGE POINT Apostle Grace Lubega

[Ephesians 3:9]; And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ.

When we are speaking truth as ministers of the gospel, we ought to be conscious of the need to carry a vision of where we are going as a ministry and as individuals, because you can push a ministry and in the end be disqualified.

As Paul says, I put my flesh to subjection lest after I have preached this gospel I myself maybe disqualified. The primary mandate of ministers, when men come to submit to us, is to seek the Lord for their course. When Paul says, ‘I come to you that I may impart into you some spiritual thing that in the end you might be established’, when he speaks of the Galatians 4 experience where like a woman in birth pangs he travails or labours until Christ be formed in men, the whole end is that you can't help a people whose end you don't see.

If you do not see, you will either mislead or under deliver. You must be able to see where the church of Christ is going then see where the individual person who is submitted to you is also going. If you cannot see ten or twenty years from now, you are going to have trouble teaching Jesus Christ. The reason why we seem to be ahead of many people is because while they were seeking God for Sunday service, some of us were seeking God for the future of the Church.

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 25th December 2015 THE LINE IN THE SAND Apostle Grace Lubega

[Romans 6:23]; For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Is there anybody who has never sinned? So if you have ever sinned, you were supposed to be dead but lo! You are alive. How then can you reject the grace for the law, how can you? The grace is before you, you cannot run away from it.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit is the end line and testimony of every church. There has to be a place where a man must understand that we must embrace the grace of God.

We are not under the assumption that grace is a license to sin. How can you have a problem because your lost brother has had a fattened calf slaughtered for him? Someone has a problem because another has not been dealt with as he should; that the sinner has not been dealt with the way he wants God to deal with him.

People think that their grace, patience, tolerance and forgiveness is as the Lord’s and because theirs has reached a maximum, even God’s has run out. That because they are so annoyed with a sinner, even God is so annoyed, ready to pounce on them. They think that the anger they carry is the same anger of God. No.

Now you have to get to a point where you can’t mix seed anymore. If you are choosing to go by Grace, go by Grace. If you are choosing to go legal, please be legal. If you are choosing to marry both, you will die because you can’t have both. Otherwise you will have situations where one will tell you, you’re going to heaven, and another will say you’re going to hell. One will say you’re righteous and another will say you’re a sinner. One will say you’re above and another will say you are beneath. So how can we invest time and resources in something that cannot have direction anymore? Mix not your seed.

Excerpt from the sermon: APOSTOLIC VOICES-NON RESIDENTS FELLOWSHIP by Apostle Grace Lubega.

You have to get to a point where you can’t mix seed anymore. If you are choosing to go by Grace, go by Grace. If you are choosing to go legal, please be legal. If you are choosing to marry both, you will die because you can’t have both.

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 24th December 2015 WHAT CHURCH OUGHT TO BE II Apostle Grace Lubega

[Ephesians 2:7]; That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

There is a young woman who was a prostitute and got Born Again. The pastor’s son took her to his parents, introducing her as a potential spouse and said the Lord had spoken to him regarding his relationship with her. The father was quiet; the mother said ‘no, that’s not God. We know she is transformed but let her look for other transformed people who were like her.’ In other words, the grace of the mother had run out. She can believe in the grace of God to change someone but that person can never be good enough for her son. The end of the story for the girl was that she was a prostitute and God ought to give her someone who was also once a prostitute but changed; not this woman’s son because he had kept a clean slate all his life.

Do you know the implication of this? She had the spirit of the elder brother in the prodigal son’s story. For some people, even if you are forgiven by God, you will stay with a certain mark in their head. I used to think of people that way but as I grew closer to God, I stopped to judge men.

There is a girl I prayed for and she got healed of HIV. When she did, she went back whoring. She got HIV the second time. Still I prayed for her and she got healed. She did the same thing the third time, still I prayed for her and she was healed. This was on record because we had the results for before and after she was prayed for.  I got annoyed and I went to God and asked ‘why have you healed this young woman three times?’ I wanted her to feel the sickness for a moment. I assumed that God thinks the same way that I think.

I used to think the grace of God has limits but that woman got healed three times. Even that one was on God’s program. Some people think that this means that we are encouraging people to do whatever they want. No. What it means is that the grace of God is without bounds.

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 23rd December 2015 WHAT CHURCH OUGHT TO BE Apostle Grace Lubega

[Songs of Solomon 8:6]; let me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.

I know of a girl in a band. She is part of one of those bands that sing on weddings and is a very good musician. I asked her why she left the church for the world and she said, ‘well, I made a mistake and got pregnant and the church and pastor started to reject me. The team started to stigmatize me until I left because I was a shame and when I left rejected, I was received in the arms of the devil in love. What did you expect me to do?’

She was hated out of the presence of God and she was received by the devil with open arms. She no longer cared. She decided to leave behind a God who could not accommodate her weakness and decided to stay with the devil who loved her with her weakness. That somebody was chased out of church because of one sin; they were loved outside church by the devil.

How will she ever be drawn back in the arms of the love of God and believe that God loves her when the person who was supposed to be that example put a gun to her head and told her she doesn’t deserve to be in church?

Love is as strong as death. When a man loves something or somebody, they can die for it. There are people who love the devil enough to die worshipping him because he proved love to them in the time the church rejected them.

Do you know the people in the world are more tolerant than the people in church? Do you know the people in the world are more understanding than people in church? Do you know that people in the world are more forgiving than people in the church? God help us.

Excerpt from the sermon: APOSTOLIC VOICES-NON RESIDENTS FELLOWSHIP by Apostle Grace Lubega.

There are people who love the devil enough to die worshipping him because he proved love to them in the time the church rejected them. God help us.

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 22nd December 2015 THE GREATER GOOD Apostle Grace Lubega

[Philippians 3:8]; Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.

Have you met Christians who feel like they are too special because they drive a car and can't do any work in ministry. Do they know that 80% of the world population own 6% of the world's wealth and they might be among that 80%?

So if they are deceived by a second hand Japanese vehicle and a rented house, then God help us. The Bible says, teach the rich people not to have confidence in their own riches but that they may be engaged in good works.

It might be that we can only shake their hand because they haven't yet got a certain job but the day they start paying them one million shillings and they can afford that funny makeup, they won't even shake anyone's hand. They are still humble because they haven't yet obtained a Smart phone. But God forbid.

We want to define a different kind of generation; one that can leave work and go to the street and preach. People ought to look at you and say that guy has a master’s degree and you tell them that is the reason why you are on the street; to preach Jesus so that they realize it is not by might nor by power but by the spirit.

When will the world believe if we can't present that kind of testimony? Do you know it is easier for a rich man to win a rich man over than for a poor man to do the same? That is why I pray that God helps every minister of the gospel to be rich and not look like they constantly need help and handouts.

Excerpt from the Sermon A PRAYER FOR THE CHURCH by Apostle Grace Lubega

We want to define a different kind of generation; one that can leave work and go to the street and preach.

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 21st December 2015 SECRET PLACES-OPEN REWARDS Apostle Grace Lubega

[Matthew 6:6]; But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

We yield secretly and pray secretly. We don't let everyone in on our prayer life. We are not hypocrites who seek qualification as men of the gospel by standing before you and praying in tongues. You judge from fruit. Let me tell you this child of God; avoid the center stage or spotlight.

Why would you want to give when everyone is looking? So that they acknowledge that you have given and respect you because while they are giving one thousand shillings you are putting twenty thousand shillings in the offering basket?  Why would you help someone then go about saying, ‘you see that girl there, I am the one who gives her lunch?’

Let the Lord who sees you do in secret reward you openly. The church of Christ must learn that the open space is not for us to show what we are doing but what God is doing; so exercise some self-control.

Excerpt from the Sermon:  A PRAYER FOR THE CHURCH by Apostle Grace Lubega

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 20th December 2015 SHINE II Apostle Grace Lubega

[Matthew 5:15]; Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

The Hebrew word for bushel is anything that holds dry matter. Now if he says no candle shall be put under anything that holds dry matter, it means that you are increasing in knowledge, being fruitful in every good work and moving from glory to glory.

You are deeper today than you were yesterday. I am persuaded that all that may be known of God has been manifest in you because God has showed it unto you, for the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and the Godhead; so that you are without excuse.

You don't have an excuse to be poor, to fail in your marriage, to fail in your body, to fail at your workplace or to die sick. You don't have an excuse not to build and make ministry, not to have a house and a car because everything is now revealed.

He spoke of the candle on a candlestick and it giveth light to all that are in the house of the Lord. That means you benefit everybody. Even if you don't feel it or they don't like you, you profit all.

This is the persuasion I carry. God is not going to hide anything from you. You are not going to be hidden by anything. Nobody and nothing can stop you; not even witchcraft.

Be assured. The devil is too late to fail you. If he couldn't stop God from lighting you up, couldn't stop you from getting Born Again, you are unstoppable. He says let your light so shine before men so that they may see your good works and praise your father which is in heaven. God is not saying light up. No, He is saying let it shine, radiate.

Excerpt from the Sermon: A PRAYER FOR THE CHURCH by Apostle Grace Lubega

If the devil couldn't stop God from lighting you up, couldn't stop you from getting Born Again, you are unstoppable.
