PHANEROO~DEVOTION 28th November 2015 DIVINE PURPOSE Apostle Grace Lubega

[Acts 11:26]; And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church  and taught much people and the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

The scriptures speak of a place called Antioch where it is said there was much teaching; where men were first defined as Christians. The bible goes on to say, "now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. A s they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.”

The message vesrion calls them prophet-teachers. That kind of prophet-teacher is working in aligning Paul for the gospel where God is sending him. But, then comes another Prophet, Agabus. We are told that he prophesied a dearth and it came to pass (and everybody knew that he was deep). Later, the Bible says of him that "when he was come unto us, he took Paul's girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles. And when we heard these things, both we, and they of that place, besought him not to go up to Jerusalem. Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”

Even though Agabus sees Paul bound, he doesn’t see the divine assignment on Paul’s life. Paul was commissioned in Acts 13:2 by prophet-teachers to go where Agabus didn’t want him to go because he saw imprisonment. Both are prophets but one is contradicting the apostle. One sees that Paul was called to be an Apostle to the Gentiles and separates him to go and while he is going, another prophet comes to tell him that he is going to be arrested.

Paul tells Agabus that it is a very small thing. I believe Paul was thinking of the words which were spoken as the prophet-teachers laid hands on them, the same words he can tell Timothy; “this charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare."

There are words that can make Paul stand, not because of much prayer, but because they are prophetic words spoken to him in Acts 13 that disqualify and disannul any ability of Agabus to minister to him. When Paul is in that dispensation, he will be hungry, not because Agabus doesn’t exist, but he wants something deeper than Agabus. You can beat him up, consider him dead, draw him out of the city but the next morning he is up. He went to Derbe to preach the same gospel that got him beat up because imprisonment is an understatement compared to the purpose of God upon Paul’s life.

I wish Agabus had seen this. He wouldn’t have prophesied as he had. But how do we change that Agabus? Just because you had seen a dearth which came to pass! Sadly, there is still a man who wants to hear Agabus prophesying famine.

You see, the church has grown up. People don’t want to hear prophets who speak of only houses and cars. We want things money cannot buy. I want to know what God called me to do, the divine purpose of God upon my life. I want to walk in the fullness of God. I want somebody who can come and speak in my life the things that are so old because those things will tag me to why God had to call me before I was formed in my mother’s womb. There is something much bigger than the cars we will drive, the houses we will build and the children we will produce. That thing is called the divine purpose of God upon our lives.

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 27th November 2015 UNDERSTANDING OUR TIMES III Apostle Grace Lubega

[Amos 8:12]; And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it.

The Bible says that they shall move sea to sea. The Dead Sea is in the South while the Mediterranean sea is in the West. When you read about the East and West in the scriptures, you realize that East and West is the movement of the sun. The sun rises from the East and sets in the West.

When the bible says that the entrance of your word brings light, the place of the sun is a figurative definition of the word of God entering and going out. When they moved sea to sea; from the Dead Sea to Mediterranean, they first went to where the word was going out, and realized that there was no answer, then they moved north and then went to where the word was entering and still found no answer.

They began from the south where the Dead Sea and Jerusalem is; so they left church, because if the Dead Sea is just next to the church(Jerusalem) why then would they need to go to the Mediterranean if Jerusalem existed? They went to the Mediterranean where the word goes out, anywhere the word was released and they found there was no answer, so they went to the North and after that went to the East. All they were looking for was just the connection between how the word enters and how it should go out.

How should the word come into my spirit and how should it come out? I see men which have words coming out of them but those words don’t look like they really entered them because if they did then faith would be unfeigned. However, in this dispensation, their faith is feigned. They speak of a God who heals but he doesn’t heal and they can’t make him heal, yet they believe him to heal and they speak of him everywhere.

Thus, one judges and sees that since such a man claims that his God heals yet it isn’t working, it can only mean that it didn’t come out of that man’s spirit but rather out of head knowledge; that person read notes or a nice book.

I don’t want something that comes from a nice book. I want something that comes from God, that comes with a life, that when you say God is a healer, he must heal; when you say God comforts, he must comfort; when you say God uplifts, he must uplift; when you say God multiplies, he must multiply; when you say God increases, he must increase; when you say God speaks, he must speak!

So I realized that even though you tell me all these wonderful words, you didn’t really believe them and they were not in your spirit because you haven’t gotten to the end of the commandment. The reason why you are not at the end of the commandment is because you  are still in the North. Understand that every time that the Israelites speak of North, they referred to the left hand because their dispensation of allegiance always looks into the East where the sun comes from, and as such, the North is to the left.

That is why Peter could cast nets all night on the left until Jesus told him to cast on the right just once. When he did, he drew a multitude of fishes. The right hand side is the hand of grace. The left hand dispenses men in the commandment, which is the law, and the letter kills.

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 26th September 2015 UNDERSTANDING OUR TIMES II Apostle Grace Lubega

[Psalms 74:9];  We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long.

The scriptures speak of a situation where people were existing in a world where they could not see their individual signs.
There are so many people for whom God has many times stirred up seasons in their lives and appointed times for him to raise them up, but every time he was about to raise them, they did not know the signs.

That is why when you don’t know the times, sometimes he will send a prophet. If the sign is not revealed, at least you will have a prophet that will tell you  what  the Lord is showing them about you. However, there is a dispensation where men don’t see their signs, they don’t have prophets and none of them know. This is what happens in Amos when he speaks of a famine that he sends out and they run to and fro yet faint for thirst.

In Isaiah, the Lord paints an interesting experience. He says, And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers: And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. Ye shall defile also the covering of thy graven images of silver, and the ornament of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as a menstruous cloth; thou shalt say unto it, Get thee hence. Then shall he give the rain of thy seed, that thou shalt sow the ground withal; and bread of the increase of the earth, and it shall be fat and plenteous: in that day shall thy cattle feed in large pastures.

As opposed to the Amos experience, in Isaiah, there is a hope because the teachers are still present. It doesn’t matter whether they were eating bread of adversity and drinking waters of affliction; their teachers were not taken away. When they sustained a place of the teachers, we find that as the teachers taught, the spirit of God spoke to them showing them the way.

God started to give rain to the seed; he started to distribute the spirit on every message they were preaching because of the presence of a teacher. They could sow seed, their cattle could feed in large pastures because of the presence of the teacher. From our reference scripture,  you realize that there are three things; if a man doesn’t know his sign, he needs a prophet and if a man doesn’t have a prophet, he needs a teacher such that if one doesn’t see his signs, he shall have a prophet to speak in his life, but if he doesn’t have a prophet to speak in his life, amongst his people, there shall be one which knoweth who shall instruct him.

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 25th November 2015 UNDERSTANDING OUR TIMES Apostle Grace Lubega

[Ecclesiaste 3:1]; To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.

If God has to purpose on the earth, he purposes to a dispensation of season and time. For everything that will ever happen in your life, as long as it is tagged to the purpose of God, there will always be a season and timing for it.

The place of season is the vibe God sends out in the spirit to sense its coming and the place of times is the place of one’s nipping in; getting a hold of it.

Every man on earth has an appointed time. This is why the bible says “And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;”

It may be that there are seasons for us as a church, but every individual has their own time. We can say that we are praying to God to be filled with the Holy Ghost, but every individual has their time of being filled. It can be a season of increase, but every individual has their own time to get a hold of the increase.

However, there are also people who live in that season and know that it is there but it never benefits them because they know not their signs. The scriptures speak of the men God gave David; the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.

Every time  there is an understanding of the times, people know what to do. There is no way a man will ever understand the times if he cannot sense the signs. This is how it works; seasons come, signs are stirred up in the lives of men and consequently, men get a hold of the understanding of the times and then men know what to do.

When men know what to do, that is the primary place of prevenient grace. It  is the distinctive definition of sunesis; the wisdom of God, the critical faculty that is in every Christian. It causes you to move faster than anything submitted to the earthly time for you to redeem the time.  When Paul says redeeming the time, because the days are evil, he is not speaking of times. He talks of the time. That means there is the time for every child of God to function.

Thus, the place of sunesis is for somebody to respond to every sign given, that phronesis (which is the mind of the spirit in every child of God to determine the mode of action beholding the end in sight) takes effect. It means that you not only know how God is going to move but you can also determine how the miracle is going to happen.

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 24th November 2015 TWO KINDS OF ILLUMINATION Apostle Grace Lubega

[Psalms 119:130]; The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding to the simple.

When the bible says that the entrance of his word brings light, some people never understand that there are two kinds of illumination by the Holy Spirit. The primary place of illumination is a place where the scales fall off your eyes that you have the ability to see as a spiritual man should see.

Many people are born again but stay with carnal eyes. So, even though such people claim to be born again, everything in their lives is carnal, and because you are dealing with  carnal people, they will not see spiritual things the way you see them regardless of how much you explain.

Many a time, when God speaks of opening our eyes, he wants to get to your eyes and open them so that you can see in the spirit as you ought to, for the very law that set us free, the law of liberty, which some versions call the law of free men, is that place where God has deliberated to open our eyes to freedom. It is the ability he has given us to see in every dimension of the spirit.

When the place of illumination is set forth, the next place of darkness is in the world. There are people who are blind in their eyes but are also in a world full of darkness. When God opens a man’s eyes to see in the spirit, the first thing visible to that man is the darkness in the world. That person starts to realize that certain people are not really born again, that he is different from them, that things easily done by others are hard for that person to do. He starts to wonder why another can’t see that what they are doing is wrong. It is because such a person has been illuminated.

As one walks in the spirit and learns to know God, God starts to cast the light on the things around the man; to create light in the world which is dark. That exact kind of light is also the one the man needs to be flooded with for him to have revelation of the things that seem hid yet they are not. When Jesus speaks about the gospel, he says “ But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:” That means that the gospel is not as visible as many people think. It is why Jesus started to expound from the things that were hid from the foundations of the world.

There are things God hid from the foundations and every time Jesus began to speak, he would pick of the hidden things and reveal them unto his people. When one starts to walk in the spirit realm, he realizes that there are things that are not visible to every man, but only to a man who the Lord illuminates. That is actually the stage of growth in the things of the spirit.

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 23rd November 2015 THE CHRIST ABOVE THE ELEMENTS Apostle Grace Lubega

[Colossians 2:20]; Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances.

When you are dealing with this world, there are elements that you are subject to. However,  when you walk out of this world, you realize that the elements have an end to them.  Many Christians have gotten so attached to the God or to the Christ that appears in elements because he can appear in elements.

Many  are used and want to relate with a God who appears in elements because Jesus can appear in elements. But what saith the scriptures? The Scriptures tell us that one day, the elements melt. Any theologian would tell you that for example in the Lord’s supper, the bread and the wine are elements and not the cup and the plate. When you are dealing with elements, the  bible says, "And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins."

That is Jesus appearing in the element called bread. When he says I am the bread of life, it means that he appeared in the element called bread. There is a process by which normal bread became his body, because you see, when the God that you are dealing with says it is his body, it is indeed his body, whether it is bread or not, because he is truth. When that Jesus takes wine and says it is his blood, even if it is wine, it becomes his blood because he has called it blood.

The Bible says, "herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.” He broke bread and it became his body, and no man can dispute that fact because he is truth. He is not true; that is an understatement. He is truth. He went on to say; "Do this always in remembrance of me." However, because many men are so attached to the elements, they have not gone past the Christ that appears after the elements and so they do not understand doing the same in remembrance.

I have come to know that there is a God that works so mightily in the elements but there is a Christ that transcends and goes above any element and in the end he remains Christ. That is the point in God where even heaven and earth become elements. He says; “Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away."

There is a place where even heaven became an element and the Psalmist beheld that experience and he said “I have seen an end of all perfection: but thy commandment is exceeding broad.” That is why we do miracles. We perform miracles because we are Christs on earth. I am not Jesus. I am Christ. In him I live, move and have my own being. When a man goes past the elements, that man doesn’t need anointing oil. He is the annointing.

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 22nd November 2015 CONSCIENCE VOID OF OFFENCE Apostle Grace Lubega

[Acts 24:16]; And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void to offence toward God, and toward men.

I have seen an offence by men who have not yet understood what it means to walk a life void of offence toward God in conscience. The conscience is a place in you which knows. It is not the place in your soul which believes or which hopes. It is the place wherewith the soul is established, the place where God pushes you past hope and faith to knowledge.

When Paul walks with God for a certain period of time, there is this boldness he has that makes him make crazy statements like,"But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.”

This is not faith. Paul knows! It is one thing to believe God for success, but it is another when you know that you are going to succeed. Now the contradiction is in the place of men whose consciences believe what they ought to know. That is offence; to believe what you ought to know.

God wants your conscience to be settled in what you know. It means that you are past believing that you are going to be a success, but you know that you are going to be a success. The dealings of God with you is not the fight of faith.  It is the rest of knowledge.

When Paul tells Timothy “fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses," it is okay, but when Timothy lays hold on eternal life, he no longer has the fight of faith. He now has the rest of knowledge, because with knowledge comes rest. What you know causes you to rest. That is why assurances come after rest; “Be rest assured”.

Now, there are Christians whose consciences are in the direction of faith and have become indifferent to the operation of the life of God in their spirits because they are ignorant of the plains wherewith faith works. Faith doesn’t work in the wisdom plane; faith works in the earthly plane. It is not bad to have faith. It is only bad when your faith is not based on knowledge.
