PHANEROO~DEVOTION 5th March 2016 THE WISDOM OF DAVID II Apostle Grace Lubega

[1 Samuel 24:5]; And it came to pass afterward, that David's heart smote him, because he had cut off Saul's skirt.

The Bible says David’s heart smote him because he had cut a piece of Saul’s skirt.  He did not abuse or blackmail Saul, he only cut his skirt. Do you see the man after God’s own heart, that kind of spirit? He even had a problem with the fact that he touched where he was not supposed to touch. So people ask, why are some men functioning in a higher glory and how do they grow in the anointing? Men who have this kind of spirit get remarkable results because of these things that appear to be simple, but with very deep spiritual repercussions. Others are going on prayer mountains for more anointing (which in its own is okay) yet taking light some issues like cutting your man of God’s skirt. It spells a breach in spirit for a man who backbites his man of God and slays him with his lips and then goes to the prayer mountain to get the same anointing.

Even if you are the victim like David obviously was, must you always speak, attack or fight back? No!!! When you are working with a man of God, he might be different and indifferent, don’t speak back, attack or fight back because what is upon your life ‘David’ is that God has trusted you with what has left another man. If he is angry with you and says something offensive, hold your peace because holding your peace proves that what left him has not left you.

If you make a mistake and seek your vindication through counterstrikes you will be judged, because the principle is that you do not touch God’s anointed. Kings produce kings and David knew better. The one who went ahead of you can lead you there, follow these things Christian.

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 4th March 2016 THE WISDOM OF DAVID I Apostle Grace Lubega

[1 Samuel 17:26]; And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?

If you want to grow in ministry and in the anointing, learn something from the life of David. The Bible says that when David heard Goliath challenge the armies of Israel, he was disturbed. The interesting point is that David was disturbed that someone had defied the armies of a man (Saul) from whom the spirit of God had departed (1 samuel 16:14).

He ministered to a man who was troubled in spirit, he played a harp for a man who was disturbed by an evil spirit. When the man’s armies were disturbed by the Philistines, I would have thought that David would stand in a corner and say, “he is judged, the spirit has left him, let him die” but instead, David got on his side.

If David was immature, a spiritual child, he would have assumed that Goliath was contributing to his success. After all, Goliath would have killed them all and since God had anointed David as the next in line, Saul had to die because he had lost the mantle. But David knew and honoured the covenant God had with Israel. At the point of facing the Philistine, the issue was not his master’s weakness, the issue was that the enemy was an uncircumcised man. One would assume David would sit back and watch them die and wait for the throne, but no, David served Saul with the knowledge that though the king was fallen, he was still a circumcised man; that is what he honoured, the covenant.

Learn something child of God, many times Christians contradict the mind of the spirit because they judge carnally the things that are spiritual.

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 3rd March 2016 AN EXCELLENT SPIRIT II Apostle Grace Lubega

[Daniel 6:3]; Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

I have seen brethren who have just learnt the gospel for a few days and are already off to start ministries. Much as this in its own may not be wrong, there is a necessity to set in order the things that are wanting before we take on spiritual offices (Titus 1:5). That is why Paul says to Timothy that appoint not a novice for office least out of pride he might fall into the devil’s snare. Many ministers have fallen into the devils’ snare because they are novices, the gifts upon men’s lives are taken for maturity.

Do you know why sometimes ministers are not accelerating spiritually? They do not understand how the spirit of excellence gathers, they want to reap where they never sowed. For example, one of the cardinal seeds of the spirit of excellence is service. Before men serve you to death, you will have to serve another man faithfully. If you fail to do it, you may never be commendably served.

The beginning of your excellence is service, think to serve more than being served. It’s the constraints we have in the love of God. Beloved, excellent spirits serve!!!

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 2nd March 2016 An Excellent Spirit I Apostle Grace Lubega

[Daniel 6:3]; Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

To some people excellence is having a nice car, a nice house, a good job and the latest mobile phone model. But how else does the world define excellence? It is by the things that one has and the things that one has accumulated over the years regardless of how they were gotten.
If you must understand excellence, understand what was upon the life of Daniel. The Bible says that Daniel was more excellent than all. He was honoured above even presidents and kings. Excellence is something that the Lord places upon your life that men honour you above the kings, presidents and professionals of the land. The spirit of excellence is everything that the Lord places on your spirit that positions you above the highest level any natural man could ever reach in this world. It is the only thing that will set you above any non-spiritual man that ever moved ahead of you in this life, and this is not in the spirit of competition, but the appreciation that a child of God must be way above the children of this world.

Excellence is not a state where men will compete with you to see who is better. It is where men will continue to believe that you are better. When an excellent spirit settles upon your life, men may get jealous, fight and hate on you, but it’s impossible for anyone to fail you. The God that has engaged us to approve the things that are excellent seeks to make us understand that we carry the very spirit of excellence, praise him forevermore!!!

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 1st March 2016 CLOSETS Apostle Grace Lubega

[Matthew 6:6]; But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

When you understand the principle of praying in secret, you will never be jealous of another man because you will simply appreciate that they have exercised their spirit through a working relationship with God and you can do likewise. That is why the mature spirit cannot be jealous or compete.

The Bible says that the servant of God must not strive. Strife comes from them who don’t know how to provide for their own ministry. That is why one worshipper can feel bad when another sings better than them because they think that it is about the voice. It is not about the voice. It is about who the worshipper is when they are alone with God.

Sometimes we overlook the importance of relating intimately with God in prayer, forgetting, whatever works through us on the outside carries its bearing from what he does in us as we seek his face. Child of God, your closet spells your pulpit. Never forget that. The closet that you have as regards your relationship with Jehovah God proves your pulpit because the Lord who sees you do in secret will richly reward you. You just need to go into a successful man’s place of secrecy and find out what exactly he does before his God because salvation is personal. No man shines so bright up there without something in there. No man. Don’t be deceived. Things don’t just happen.

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 28th February 2016 PROPHETIC VOICES IV Apostle Grace Lubega

[2 Chronicles 20:20]; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

Child of the Most High, God is working in your life to grow and increase you. He says, let every man walk circumspectly as he has been called; let the teacher teach; let the evangelist evangelize; let the prophet establish; let the apostle architect. Something will be written about you; something that has never been written and will never be written again.

He says you will finish well, with your blood in the testament. Choose to be serious about God, for the Bible says that prophesy shall cease, miracles shall cease but love will never fail. Be rooted and grounded in love that you might know the height, depth and breadth of this love.

You are going to change lives, nations and people. You are going to build things that men cannot believe you can build.  The Lord says it is yours. For some, your biggest testimony was that you were too alive in the body, but the Lord bends you; he breaks you that he may use you mightily. In Jesus’ name.
