PHANEROO~DEVOTION 16th January 2016 LESSONS IN VIRTUE II Apostle Grace Lubega

[Ephesians 5:31]; For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

One time, I was counselling a woman who was having an issue with her marriage. She told me that she had gone to God and told him, ‘God, my husband is cheating; he got another woman; he is sinning. Help him God because he is sleeping around’.

In that instant I recognized a problem. There was something that she simply had not understood. Many people read the scripture on the two becoming one but they take it at face value; they take it for granted.

If the two of you are one, you are in truth both sleeping around. If your husband ever cheats on you, go to God and tell him, ‘I am sorry I am cheating.’ If your wife does not pray, tell God, ‘I am sorry I am not praying.’  If the man is drinking alcohol, tell God, ‘I am sorry I am drinking alcohol.’ The gist of all this is that you and your husband are one. The more you mature in God as a woman or man, the more you start to take responsibility for any weakness in your spouse.

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 15th January 2016 THE WEIGHT OF A MAN II Apostle Grace Lubega

[2 Corinthians 10:10]; For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.

There are Born Again Christians who spend days, months and years without speaking to others about Christ, more so to them who need him most. Preaching should not be because Christians have been convinced that it is a good thing to preach. Men who have understood that it is a rule on the inside of them cannot help but do it.

The testimony of a man growing in Christ is that he increases as he gives. The more you preach it, the deeper you preach it; the more you preach it, the deeper you understand it.  Some of us did not know much; no body taught us how to preach or taught us the Bible. Nonetheless, we still preached. We preached on the streets, in classes and halls of residence. We preached everywhere. What we knew, we shared.

As you share, you increase. Your weight in the spirit increases as you preach it. We will preach on the streets, in the supermarkets, in the taxis and in the buses. We will do so everywhere until the world comes to the saving knowledge of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ because that is our weight. The moment you preach it, you will increase. So you ask, ‘how can I grow in God?’ Preach.

[2 Corinthians 10:10]; For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.

What is the weight of a man? I have learnt a secret to the effect that the weight of a man is not drawn by that man weighing himself. The weight of a man is drawn by God.

What is the measure of a man? By what standard do we know that you have grown and say that now you are weighed as heavy in the kingdom? The Bible says that Paul was not physically well built in body, but it was said that his letters were weighty and powerful.

The weight of a man is that which comes out of a man. In a deeper understanding, the testimony of Christ in the inside of a man’s spirit is what makes a man weighty. Paul got to a place where the testimony of his letters was that they were weighty and powerful. That is what makes you; the testimony of Christ on your lips. It is your weight. There is nothing by which a man shall be weighed except the testimony of Christ.

The testimony of Christ on your lips is your weight in the spirit.

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 13th January 2016 THE WINGS OF GRACE III Apostle Grace Lubega

[Romans 4:8]; Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

The Bible says that Jesus ever lives to make intercession for us.  Do you think God can refuse to answer Jesus’ prayer? Do you think God will say, ‘No, no, no. You have no idea what he has done this time. I have personally endured so much from him. Jesus, you do not know the things I go through.’  Some people see Jesus telling God, ‘no, don’t beat him, please don’t beat him.’ And God saying, ‘No it is too much. This time I must teach him a lesson’

That is not how God thinks. Instead I see Jesus in the presence of the father and I see you having messed up again. But I see father God simply saying, ‘he is my righteousness.’ He does not speak of what you are doing; he speaks what he knows you are.  He will continue to do so until you realize who you are.

For those that have habits that seem to have refused to leave, stop praying as one who thinks God is too annoyed with you. Even if you just stole, say ‘I am not a thief in the name of Jesus.’ Do it because that is what God does; he just imputes righteousness. As you continue to do that, God will deal with the devil. As you do that, your weakness will leave.  Weaknesses do not leave by us confessing them. They leave when we confess His strength.

Weaknesses do not leave by us confessing them. They leave when we confess God’s strength.

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 12th January 2016 THE WINGS OF GRACE II Apostle Grace Lubega

[Romans 4:8]; Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

When I was in school, I and a group of my friends used to go out of our way to be stubborn. We would stand outside our class rooms and wait for a teacher. Whenever any teacher would see us, he would say, ‘enter your classes’ and we would refuse. When we saw him come closer, we would scatter in different directions.

One day, a certain teacher appeared out of nowhere. We saw him a little too late. Incidentally, he was fat and could not run very fast.  He sighted me and another student. He kept calling our names but we ignored him and kept running. As we ran, he started to count. ‘Those are fifteen…those are seventeen.’ By the time he reached thirty six, we were wondering why we were even running seeing that the more we ran, the more number of canes we amassed. When a man starts to count and reaches thirty five, you ask yourself, suppose he gets to eighty? One thing I was certain about was that he would not hesitate to deliver those eighty lashes. I asked my friends, ‘why are we running?’ So we stopped and slowly turned back.

Some people think God is like that; counting, ‘thirty three…thirty six…thirty nine’. No, he does not impute sin. He is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and full of mercy.

God is merciful, gracious, slow to anger and full of mercy.

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 11th January 2016 THE WINGS OF GRACE I Apostle Grace Lubega

[Romans 11:6]; And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

I once heard a preacher say that some people wrongly claim that we will just soar happily into heaven. He said that there is no such thing; you do not just soar on wings and fly; that heaven is worked for. What he meant was that there is no easy way to heaven.

He implied that God is paying men heaven as a reward for their good work yet the scriptures say that he purchased our eternal redemption. He bought it for you. How then can you work for what he bought? He went through eternity, skipped all your sins on earth, went ahead of you, bought eternal redemption, came back to earth and gave it to you. Sadly, many do not want it for free. They would rather work for it. What that means is that you did not need Christ.

Child of God, what takes men to heaven? It is the ministry of faith in Jesus Christ. We always sung the Amazing Grace hymn and never truly understood it. The song says, ‘Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come, t’was grace that brought me safe thus far, and grace, will lead me home.’ It brought you this far, it will lead you home. The grace of God has enough strength to get you to heaven.

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 10th January 2016 PROPHETIC VOICES Apostle Grace Lubega

[2 Chronicles 20:20];  Believe   in the LORD   your God, so shall ye be established;   believe   his prophets,   so shall ye prosper.

The Lord says, the word is nigh thee, it is in thy mouth. You will never fail. You will never weaken. You will never grow cold.  You will only go upward. You will fly high like an eagle and your sight will be precise. There will be precision in the things that you see because God will cut the edges for you; you will not misapprehend any corners.

It is our time. God is opening your eyes and ears like never before. You are going to function in the ministry of revelation, signs, miracles and wonders. You are not just going to teach your nation, you are going to teach the world. They shall tune in to hear you on radio and on television across the world.

The spirit says he wrought special miracles by Paul but He will do more through you. We have dreamed of a church where healing happens every day, where deliverance takes place every second, where Christians are wealthy; where their marriages are restored. We believe God for a church that will determine a nation; we will advise presidents, we will advise kings, we will advise priests and they will go by our way. It is going to happen! In the name of Jesus.
