PHANEROO~DEVOTION 6th February 2016 LESSONS IN VIRTUE I Apostle Grace Lubega

[1 Peter 3:6]; Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

Women are driven by emotion while men are driven by egos. That is wiring. Men are wired egoistically. Before he has feelings for you, his ego must be satisfied. That is why house girls sometimes take the place of house wives because they know how to handle these egos. He is ‘king’, ‘lord of lords’. You find that the house girl is dotting on him, and as such he feels that he is ‘King David.’

Some women have the attitude that as long as God has spoken to them and told them to go to the mountain to pray, it did not matter who the husband thought he was or what he thinks. I know women who will just storm past the man while murmuring, 'am on my way to the prayer mountain, if you want to join me, go ahead. Can you pick the kids from school because it is likely that I might pray past school closing time…There is a prophetess from Nairobi who has come with the word of the Lord to talk to us and I have to be there to hear her.' The moment you go out, the house girl comes kneeling before him and says, 'daddy, have you had anything to eat?’

The Bible says of the women of old that they addressed their husbands as 'my lord.' Since you are dealing with ego, it means that it is before sentiment, feeling or mystery and revelation. Woman, even though you are deep and the Lord spoke to you to go to the prayer mountain, before you go to the mountain, go to the man and tell him that 'God told me.' When you do that, just watch and see what happens. I assure you, he will ask you, how much money do you need, who is taking you, do you have a driver?

Excerpt from the sermon: THE STRANGE WOMAN by Apostle Grace Lubega

Woman, even though you are deep and the Lord spoke to you to go to the prayer mountain, before you go to the mountain, go to the man and tell him that 'God told me.' That is submission.

The Tongue II By Minister Bwayos (Proverbs18:21)

Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].(AMP)

So many people misunderstand this portion of scripture.
They think that the POWER is in death and life, so they ignorantly use their  tongue carelessly and this has been the primary cause of the mess they are in right  now.

The bible says that death and life are in the power of the tongue.
Notice that the power here is in the tongue.

Child of God, mind what you speak for it determines life and death.
If you sow the seed of death, you will reap death.
If you sow the seed of life, you will reap life in abundance.

I once heard a certain woman verbally fighting with her husband and she said to him "Laba embwa eno" meaning " Look at this dog"
You see, she did not know that she was planting a bad seed in her husband.
When she called him a dog, he began sleeping around with different women: thats what dogs exactly do.
Dogs don't settle with one wife , and mind you they do zero grazing.
Dogs bark at any pretty gal , they are most active at night.

Despite the fact that he / she has pissed you off, get to the place of wisdom and plant a seed of life by speaking good , not evil!!!

Have a fruitful day!

Scripture Reference:

Proverbs 12:13-14
The wicked is snared by the transgression of [his] lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.

A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of [his] mouth: and the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.(KJV)

Matthew 12:36-37
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.(KJV)

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 4th February 2016 A CALL TO SERIOUSNESS

[1 Peter 2:9]; But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

The church of Christ today ought to demonstrate a deeper reality of the Christ than Paul did.  The Bible says that Paul laid the foundation. Men observe buildings, not foundations. Do you want to tell me that close to two thousand years later, men are still laying the foundation? Hasn’t the time come for the building to come forth?

We are not like John who says, ‘we know not what we shall be.’ That is for a man who is laying a foundation. We know what we shall be. So how can we know and not seek God? How can we know and not pray crazy? If Philip prayed for four days you pray for six. If there are men that prayed for one year, you pray for two.

God has revealed too much to you for you to stay normal. Even Paul looks at you and says that you know. How can you stay as a normal man; how?  This is not a place of faith; it is a call for seriousness. I don’t know what you seek God for but the end of your life must read like, ‘that man walked the surface of the earth and he knew God more than Paul. He prophesied more than John the revelator; he taught more than Peter or John and he lived a greater life than those men of old.’

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 3rd February 2016 FIRE PLACES 2 Apostle Grace Lubega

[Luke 18:1]; And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.

I know of a lady with one of the craziest prayer lives I have ever heard of and seen.  She had a tendency to pray until time would lose meaning that someone else had to tell her that she had been praying for a week. That is the kind of prayer life I am referring to.

I remember the times when we were still at campus. We always went up a mountain to pray. We prayed so much that one day a lame man walking on the grounds just got healed. We did not rebuke a lame spirit. He just came on the ground and got healed.

When we started to pray, we would never stop because when we would feel like stopping, something would tell us to pray some more.  To us, the important thing was that we were with our lord. Today, some people cannot even finish the service. They get bored and sleepy in an overnight. God should bring the intensity of prayer back in Church today. I know we are grace preachers, but I have never understood the grace that makes men so inexcusably adamant and lax; a laxity that makes you neglect prayer. Child of God, this is not to judge you in any way but I need you to understand that there is something that can make the fire fall. Learn to pray; learn to spend time in the presence of God.

Excerpt from the sermon: OUR GENERATION by Apostle Grace Lubega

The grace of God is not an excuse to neglect the life of prayer.

The Way Of The Body Of Christ V By Minister Bwayos (James5:16)

James 5:16
Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].(AMP)

I was working for a certain Supermarket in Uganda some time back as a Supervisor, i used to be so offensive to my subordinates.
As in i could verbally fight them even if they had done some thing very small like being absent without informing me, or not wearing proper uniform.

I made it a habit to fight them because at the end of the day we could accomplish our duties in peace.
Little did i know that having not confessed my offenses to them was hindering my Spirit life in terms of prayer.
You know, i would go for overnights, bible studies etc etc and also go to perform on concerts but i did not produce any results!

There is a time i went on stage to do my famous song 'Vuka Boda" and i felt so dry in the Spirit.

Today's portion of scripture delivered me from that bondage of not producing results.
The bible says that ;
1. Confess
2. Pray
that you may be healed and restored.

You don't just pray for the person you offended before you confess your faults to them.
You are asking a miss!!!

As members of the body of Christ, this is the right way to live.
If we really are his disciples, Jesus says that we should love one another.

Have a lovely day!

PHANEROO~DEVOTION 1st February 2016 SOMETHING DEEPER I Apostle Grace Lubega

[Zechariah 12:10]; And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications.

When you study Ugandan church history , you will discover some amazing facts. The great men of this land sought God until they saw Him. One prominent pastor once told us of a time when he spent two days holding a banana shoot. All that while, he was telling God one thing; ‘I need you.’ I am not talking of thirty minutes of speaking in tongues because you claim to be under grace. I am talking of a man who spends two days in the presence of God-clinging to a plant.

You cannot be under grace and not have the grace to pray. It does not make sense. He is the spirit of grace and supplication. He cannot be the spirit of grace and supplication upon you and you do not have the grace to pray. If a man under the law can pray for ten hours, you ought to pray for twenty four hours because you have grace. These men were hungry enough and they saw God.

If it is losing friends, sleep or appetite, you must lose all these. There comes a time when you say, ‘God, there has got to be something deeper than this.’ If there is, dig it out, and when you realise that there is more, still go on and dig deeper. Purpose to dig so deep that when men look at you, they do not see a deep person, they see depth. Just hunger for more.

You cannot be under grace and not have the grace to pray.

The Tongue by Minister Bwayos (James3:6 ff)

James 3:6 KJV
And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
We learn that the tongue is fire and that it's a world of iniquity.
However, its also a member of one's body.
Men think that its hard to tame their tongues and so they use it as an excuse to sin. (James 3:8 KJV)
But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
The bible says that out of the tongue proceedeth blessings and curses.
It also further goes on to tell us these things ought not to be.
(James 3:10 KJV)
Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing.
Child of God, these things ought not so to be.
There's no way a fountain can flow both sweet and bitter water.
There's no way a mango tree can bear pumpkins (kizibu)
(James 3:11-12 KJV)

Does a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
Same applies to us members of the body of Christ.
We're supposed to produce living streams, blessings , saltiness and light.
Our tongues should not subject to the standards of this world.
For we are born of the incorruptible seed.

"IF IT WON'T BLESS OR MAKE SENSE TO SOME ONE,
KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT!!!"

James3:5-12
