PHANEROO~DEVOTION 4th November 2015 OUR IMITATIONS Apostle Grace Lubega

[1 Corinthians 11:1]; Imitate me then as I imitate Christ.

This scripture does not mean copy me as I copy Christ. When certain men are imitating, they don't pick substance. If a man walks a certain way, they also want to walk that way. If the man's hair is standing on one side, they  also want to put their hair on that side. Those are not the true lines of imitation.

I don't have a problem if you love the man so much and want to wear the same shoe he wears but more than that, have more substance than just his shoe. The bible tells you, we regard no man after the flesh. So when we are imitating, we are not imitating after the flesh but after the spirit.

If I see a man heal, I want to know how he heals. I can wear the same kind of shoe later but only after having known how he heals. Those are called imitations. It means that you learn to adopt by the spirit. You don't adopt physically.

It is through following up of the ministration of the people that went ahead that we adopt those imitations. That is why a man can read of Paul, and get something. He can read a story of Christ, of how he went to this city and found a sick or blind man and healed him. He then preaches the same message, and as he is preaching, he shifts from just preaching and enters the spirit as though he was there and before you know it, he is doing the very thing Christ did. Why? It is because he is imitating after the spirit.

Excerpt from the Sermon: THE MIND OF GOD by Apostle Grace Lubega

When we are imitating, we are not imitating after the flesh but after the spirit.
