PHANEROO~DEVOTION 19th February 2016 SOMETHING DEEPER II Apostle Grace Lubega

[1 Corinthians 4:20]; For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

What led to the Great Awakening of Europe was that wherever these men of God went, they never left those places the same, so much that they did not need to return there. Their impact was always long lasting. But when you look at this generation, there is not too much they can show for the God they profess. We have failed to make a statement. The pain of it is not what we have failed to do but rather that we do not feel discomfited by our complacency.

What was in the mind of these men that wrought all these miracles and walked such supernatural lives? We ought to get past the nonsense that we can preach deep sermons and return to the simplicity of the gospel that caused Peter to walk to a lame man and tell him ‘silver and gold I have not but that which I have I give unto you’. Peter was not even revealing a deep mystery. He just found a lame man and he had to make him walk. How then can I find a lame man on the street and do nothing?

There is more, child of God. At the end of our lives, our stories ought not to be how many people knew us in the world, or how many cameras watched us but that we walked worthy of the call of God upon our lives. That it was not the nations we walked into, not the men of God we met, but the fact that God worked in us to contribute our part. That we will end with the gratitude to God that we walked this earth consecrated in the knowledge of Him. That the Lord worked in us, not just to manifest signs and wonders but to reveal the things that were concealed before the foundation of the world.

Excerpt from the sermons: OUR GENERATION & THE END OF MEN by Apostle Grace Lubega

At the end of our lives, our stories ought not to be how many people knew us in the world, or how many cameras watched us but that we walked worthy of the call of God upon our lives. That it was not the nations we walked into, not the men of God we met, but the fact that God worked in us to contribute our part.

Scripture Reference: Acts 3:6, John 14:12
