PHANEROO~DEVOTION 3rd February 2016 FIRE PLACES 2 Apostle Grace Lubega

[Luke 18:1]; And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.

I know of a lady with one of the craziest prayer lives I have ever heard of and seen.  She had a tendency to pray until time would lose meaning that someone else had to tell her that she had been praying for a week. That is the kind of prayer life I am referring to.

I remember the times when we were still at campus. We always went up a mountain to pray. We prayed so much that one day a lame man walking on the grounds just got healed. We did not rebuke a lame spirit. He just came on the ground and got healed.

When we started to pray, we would never stop because when we would feel like stopping, something would tell us to pray some more.  To us, the important thing was that we were with our lord. Today, some people cannot even finish the service. They get bored and sleepy in an overnight. God should bring the intensity of prayer back in Church today. I know we are grace preachers, but I have never understood the grace that makes men so inexcusably adamant and lax; a laxity that makes you neglect prayer. Child of God, this is not to judge you in any way but I need you to understand that there is something that can make the fire fall. Learn to pray; learn to spend time in the presence of God.

Excerpt from the sermon: OUR GENERATION by Apostle Grace Lubega

The grace of God is not an excuse to neglect the life of prayer.

Scripture Reference: 1 Thessalonians 5:17, Ephesians 6:18
