PHANEROO~DEVOTION 16th April 2016 Apostle Grace Lubega

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth [Genesis 1:26].

WHERE ARE YOUR LABOURS

It seems very okay in the minds of some Christians to work solely for men in their minds, but some find it hard to work for God in the ministry. Many men cannot think of being ministers of the gospel because of the thought that poverty will strike at their door. A man will work for hours at his office just to get a promotion. That same man will not spare even an hour to do door to door evangelism. Where are your labours, where are you investing? In things moth can eat?

The day you wake up and realize that everything you ever worked for was yours in the first place is the day you will realize that despite all your labours, you were nothing more than a slave if you never served God. Why are you not  late for an interview but are late for church? Why do you esteem lightly the one who is in you? How many things control you yet you ought to have control over them? How many people control you? The power of salvation was to bring men to a place where they had dominion and authority; the very spirit of lordship over everything in this life.

You are on the earth for the gospel. God must work in you even at the workplace. Let work be by divine purpose and not financial gain. If you are still under the motivation of financial gain, then you are of all men most deceived. Labouring for God is more important than labouring to gain anything on the earth. Stop investing where you expect to reap only carnal things. In the mind of the Almighty God, the idea is to lift up your eyes, and look to the fields; for they are white, already to harvest.  Our labours in God are harvests. They are not the sowing of seeds by a man seeking to have what is already given to him by faith.

FURTHER STUDY: Matthew 6:19, Matthew 6:33

GOLDEN STUDY: Our labours in God are harvests. They are not the sowing of seeds by a man seeking to have what is already given to him by faith.

PRAYER: Thank you God for the heart that you have given us for the sake of the kingdom; thank you for the understanding that if labours be for the gospel then they are never in vain; thank you that with this mind, the gospel is our priority; the reason we work; the reason we build businesses, the reason we expand, the reason for everything Lord. Thank you that at the end of our lives, our stories will not be of the vanities we built for ourselves but of the things we did for the sake of the kingdom for that is what makes our labours eternal. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
