PHANEROO~DEVOTION 10th March 2016 THE PATTERN OF LOVE Apostle Grace Lubega

[Ephesians 4:30-31 AMP]; And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God [but seek to please Him], by whom you were sealed and marked [branded as God’s own] for the day of redemption [the final deliverance from the consequences of sin].Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor [perpetual animosity, resentment, strife, fault-finding] and slander be put away from you, along with every kind of malice [all spitefulness, verbal abuse, malevolence].

What does it mean to grieve the spirit of God? Strife, slander, resentment and fault finding are the starting points for men to really set themselves against the Holy Ghost because the Holy Ghost abides in those who believe, and seeks to reconcile unbelievers to God.

For instance, if I am bitter with a sister, I am bitter with the Holy Ghost and I am grieving him. If I have any indignation against a brother, I am indignant against the Holy Ghost. If I have any wrath against my brother, I have wrath against the Holy Ghost. Resentfulness, having animosity, quarrelling, brawling, anger, evil speaking, abusing each other and going behind each others’ backs is grieving the Holy Ghost. These are the things that kill ministers and ministry.

Paul says pursue peace with all men without which no man shall see God. The reason why many people do not see the anointing of God operating in their lives is because they have grieved men, more so their spiritual authority. Hebrews 13:17 says if you grieve those that have the rule over you, it is unprofitable for you. It means that you literally stop profiting.

Do you really want to see God? Go back to these primary things. How can you want to flow in the gifts of the spirit yet have an issue with the sister in the choir because she said such and such a thing or did this and that? I have seen Christians with such an attitude yet they also want to experience the glory of God. Let me tell you something, the highest level of glory is walking in the patterns of love.
