PHANEROO~DEVOTION 11th March 2016 OF PERSECUTION Apostle Grace Lubega

[Exodus 1:12]; But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew.

In the Book of Kings, we understand that when Elijah was fleeing from Jezebel and cried to the Lord about how he was the only prophet of God left, the Lord revealed to him that there were 7000 other prophets that had not bowed to Baal. Now understand that there was a reason as to why there were 7000 men who were not bowing to Baal but yet did not catch the attention of Jezebel.  The Lord keeping them from her did not mean that they were better than Elijah. There is a reason why we do not know their names yet we know Elijah and why he is recorded as a prophet in the Book of Kings.

Even though these 7000 existed, they were not of Elijah’s spirit. They could not contend enough to catch the attention of Ahab or Jezebel.  What does this mean? If you are still in ministry and have not yet been persecuted, question your salvation. If you are loved and favoured by everybody, question the mandate of God upon your life because the truth is that the moment glory rests upon you, you will be persecuted (1 Peter 4:14).

In this life, regardless of what you do, some people will never change their opinion about you. Even if you do everything that they want, some people are simply made up to misunderstand, misquote and even at worst hate you with no cause. You just need to understand that all things work together for your good, and that you can or will thrive and grow even amidst persecution; you will go upwards and upwards only.

Excerpt from the sermon: THE RULE OF THE MANTLE by Apostle Grace Lubega

The moment glory rests upon you, you will be persecuted. However, you just need to understand that all things work together for your good, and that you can or will thrive and grow even amidst persecution; you will go upwards and upwards only.

Scripture Reference: Mark 10:29-30, Luke 6:26
